How to DonateHow to Donate | Your Car's Value | Donation Tips The vehicle must be titled and registered in your name and completely paid, although we will accept vehicles with proper lien releases from financial institutions. We also accept classic cars as well as boats on trailers, RVs, motorcycles and campers. Before calling 1-800-737-0265 or filling out the online donation form, please have the vehicle title in front of you because it contains all the pertinent information. We will also need to know the current mileage of the vehicle. If you fill out the online donation form, a customer service representative will contact you to confirm receipt of the electronic form and arrange a pickup date. We offer free pickup Monday through Friday. Please remember to remove the license tags and all personal items from the vehicle before it's donated. You will receive a donation receipt once you sign the title over to the Red Cross. Please take a "copy" of the donation receipt, your license tags and registration to DMV as soon as possible to de-register the car. Once it's de-registered, then call your insurance company to cancel coverage (they might want a copy of the donation receipt, too). All vehicle donations are sold and the proceeds used to support the Red Cross's employment, training and placement programs for people with disadvantages and disabilities.
