Donating a car in Arizona is easy, fast and free. When you donate your car pick-up is done quickly, often within one business day. You can donate a car, boat or RV in Arizona regardless of its condition.

When you donate a car to charity in the state of Arizona, your car donation will allow you to claim a tax deduction through the charity’s tax classification with the IRS. Donating a car directly to charity is the best way to ensure that you can claim your vehicle as a tax deduction. Besides that, donating a car directly to charity is the only way to be sure that the proceeds of the sale of your car donation go directly to the charity.

When you are ready to donate your car, boat or RV in the state of Arizona the quickest way to begin the process is to have the title to the vehicle you intend to donate. If you do not have the title to your intended vehicle donation, you can apply for a replacement title. You must apply for the replacement title prior to donating your vehicle. In order to release liability of your donated vehicle in the state of Arizona you will need to fill out a Sold Notice within ten days of the transfer of the title of your donated vehicle. The Sold Notice form can be found online at the Arizona Department of Transportation website and can be submitted online or printed out and mailed or submitted in person. When you donate a vehicle in the state of Arizona the license plates belong to you as owner of the vehicle as opposed to the vehicle itself. When the vehicle’s ownership is transferred, you need to remove and hold on to the plates. After removing the plates within a thirty day period you must either transfer the plate credit to another vehicle you own or request a refund. Please note that upon the transfer of a vehicle the registration for that vehicle is no longer valid.
